How catching fits the game
Aniipods are the tools used to capture Aniimo in Idyll. Exploration brings you into contact with different creatures and ecosystems; collecting companions unlocks more possibilities in combat and traversal. Encounter availability can depend on environmental conditions, time, weather, and phenomena.
This guide covers announced systems. It does not give invented capture percentages, location coordinates, button sequences, or item costs. Check the current in-game prompts when the game opens.
A practical approach to encounters
First identify what you are trying to collect. Look up its name and element in the index, read the available official entry, and note the conditions you actually observe in game. If it is not present, consider returning under different conditions instead of assuming the index is a spawn map.
Aniipods and traps are different tools. Use their in-game descriptions to understand their functions; we have not verified a launch-version universal trap strategy. A beta video can help illustrate an encounter but cannot prove current resource requirements.
Legendary capture is changing
The September 3 announcement describes a redesigned Irisalis encounter built around exploration progress, a crafted Legendary Aniipod, and a dedicated battle. The prior repeated-attempt process should not be presented as current launch advice.
A legendary encounter is not evidence that every ordinary Aniimo uses the same capture procedure. Consult that companion's quest and item requirements rather than applying one recipe to the entire roster.
Prismana and lucky strikes
The developer update also announces changes to Prismana nurturing and a catching-related lucky strike mechanic. Exact rates are not published in the source we checked. The Prismana guide lists known official form entries and separates confirmed mechanics from missing probabilities.
What to record after launch
Record the platform, patch, creature, location, time, weather, tool, and result before drawing conclusions. A single successful catch does not establish a percentage. This wiki will require repeatable evidence before publishing optimal routes or material-efficiency claims.
