When does Aniimo launch on mobile?

Aniimo launches on iOS and Android on September 23, 2026. Mobile pre-download begins September 22 at 12:00 AM (UTC+8). The pre-download time is confirmed in the official September 21 mobile requirements post; it is not a confirmed September 23 server-opening hour.

Use the official Google Play listing or the official App Store listing. Avoid unofficial APK sites. A store's small initial download number is not the same as the space needed after game resources are installed.

Official Aniimo mobile system requirements

These specifications were published by the verified Aniimo account on September 21. They replace older test requirements and third-party estimates.

PlatformMinimumRecommended
iOS deviceiPhone 11 (A13)iPhone 14 Pro (A16) or newer
iOS versioniOS 16iOS 16 or later
iOS memory4 GB RAM6 GB RAM or more
Android chipsetSnapdragon 855 or MediaTek Dimensity 1000Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or MediaTek Dimensity 9200 or better

The official note warns that a device below the minimum may fail to launch or run the game properly. Meeting the minimum is not a promise of a particular frame rate, temperature or battery life. Those need post-launch device tests.

Does Aniimo mobile support controllers?

Yes, but the official mobile list is specific. It includes:

  • PS5 controllers over Bluetooth
  • Xbox controllers over Bluetooth
  • EasySMX M20
  • GameSir G8+ and Apple MFi-certified telescopic controllers
  • GameSir X4 Aileron on Android only

The same official chart says Android telescopic controllers are not supported on iOS, Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con controllers are not supported on mobile, and controller vibration is not supported on mobile.

Pawprint Studio previously said it had improved mobile and controller controls in its September developer letter. The final touch layout, sensitivity options and button prompts still need to be checked in the release client; we will not copy beta button maps into this guide.

Does PC progress carry over to mobile?

Yes. PC and mobile share data when you sign in with the same account. The official launch notice says an existing PC character can continue on mobile. The official account FAQ adds an important limit: progress is shared across platforms only within the same server, while different servers keep independent data.

Before creating another character on your phone:

  1. Use the same Aniimo account you use on PC.
  2. Select the server that contains your existing character.
  3. If the character is missing, stop before starting over and recheck both the login method and server.
  4. If the account is correct and progress is still missing, use Menu → Support.

Aniimo currently identifies America, Europe and Apac server regions. Cross-save does not merge characters created on different servers.

Can you play Aniimo mobile offline?

Do not plan on offline play. The mobile launch notice tells players to keep a stable connection and warns about login queues. PlayStation marks online play as required, while Steam lists broadband internet in its system requirements. Solo play is supported, but playing alone is not the same as playing without the internet.

We have not yet run a release-client disconnect test on iOS or Android. That means we will not claim how long the mobile client remains open after signal loss or whether any cached screen remains available. See the full Aniimo offline and solo guide.

Is multiplayer and crossplay available on mobile?

Steam lists cross-platform multiplayer, and Aniimo's official material describes online co-op for up to four players in ordinary exploration. Egg Heist is a separate PvEvP activity built around three-player teams. Do not use the four-player co-op limit as the party size for every mode.

Mobile launch does not change the distinction between crossplay and cross-save:

  • Crossplay means people on different supported platforms can play together.
  • Cross-save means your own progress follows the same account on the same server.
  • Guest progress is activity-specific; joining a host does not make every story or exploration unlock permanent for the guest.

See the multiplayer, party-size and account-linking guide for the evidence behind those limits.

Mobile launch troubleshooting checklist

The store still shows pre-register

Pre-download starts September 22 at 12:00 AM UTC+8, while play begins September 23. Store rollout and the displayed calendar date can vary by region. Use the official store links above rather than sideloading an APK.

The phone says the app is not compatible

Compare the device, operating system, memory and Android Vulkan support against the official table. An Android version number alone is not enough: the chipset, RAM and graphics API also matter.

There is not enough storage

Make at least 18 GB available. Do not use the initial store-download number as the final installed-size requirement. Launch patches and unpacked resources can require additional working space, but the exact first-day download still needs to be measured.

My PC character is missing on mobile

Check the account and server before creating a replacement character. Different regional servers do not share progress. If both match and the character is still absent, report it through Menu → Support.

I am stuck in a login queue or loading screen

The developer has already warned that launch traffic may cause queues and slower loading. Keep the connection stable, close unnecessary background apps and distinguish a server queue from a device-performance problem. Do not repeatedly reinstall the app unless official support recommends it.

The phone gets hot, stutters or crashes

Check the official minimum specifications first. Close background apps and wait for the live graphics menu before following device-specific settings advice. Frame-rate, heat and battery recommendations published before September 23 are not release-client tests.

The controller connects but does not respond

Confirm that it appears on the supported list above. Switch and Joy-Con controllers are not supported on mobile, Android telescopic controllers are not promised on iOS, and controller vibration is disabled even when input works.

What still needs launch-day testing?

This page is based on official information reviewed September 21. After the mobile client opens, we still need to verify:

  • the final touch-control layout for catching, Twine, lock-on and climbing
  • first download size versus the full installed footprint
  • graphics presets, frame-rate limits, heat and battery use by device
  • behavior when Wi-Fi changes to cellular data or the connection drops
  • exact Apple, Google and other mobile sign-in flows
  • controller behavior outside the officially listed models
  • whether launch-day patches change any menu or requirement

We will date those tests when they are available instead of presenting beta footage as mobile launch behavior.
