How to start Mysterious Presence
Go to Astra's Northside and interact with the malfunctioning sign outside ChillBeanz Cafe. The anomaly pulls you into an unknown space; touch the Voxel Cube there, return to the street and speak with the nearby repairer. Current launch walkthroughs do not report a separate level requirement beyond reaching Astra. September 19 Voxel Cube walkthrough.
This guide contains location and boss spoilers. Mysterious Presence is an Astra investigation, not part of the Russet Highlands Golden Helmet scene.
Main investigation route
After the opening anomaly:
- Speak with the repairer in Northside.
- Visit Prof. Bohr at the Polaris Institute.
- Enter the Holo-Lab and speak with Nova.
- Return to Northside and investigate the malfunction points.
- Revisit the Holo-Lab when the objective sends you back; the Super Claw section is inserted during the investigation.
- Collect all nine Voxel Cubes, enter the Holo-Lab portal and finish the multi-stage Voxelic fight.
- Investigate the memory data and finish the conversations with Nova, Prof. Bohr and Principal Oswen.
The game reveals some objectives as the quest advances, so do not assume every cube marker will be available from the first visit.
All nine Voxel Cube locations
Use the table as a checklist rather than a mandatory 1–9 order. Current walkthroughs disagree about a fixed sequence, and the live objective can move you between Northside and the Holo-Lab:
| Cube | Northside landmark or puzzle |
|---|---|
| 1 | The glitching poster near ChillBeanz; solve its sliding image puzzle. |
| 2 | The Anii Apartment malfunctioning poster and its second sliding puzzle. |
| 3 | The numbered ground path near ChillBeanz; step on the numbers in order. |
| 4 | The seesaw west of Horizon Square. |
| 5 | The musical pathway near Chill Street. |
| 6 | The malfunctioning Battle League poster on Chill Street. |
| 7 | The giant swing east of Chill Street. |
| 8 | Judy's band puzzle: trigger Chirpi's “Hey” once, Tromber twice and Cornet four times. Follow the live prompts if a patch changes the pattern. |
| 9 | The rooftop holo device involved in Super Claw Malfunction. |
The locations are cross-checked against September 17–19 walkthroughs. Screenshots remain more useful than prose for the exact rooftop and playground positions. Illustrated nine-cube route, second puzzle checklist and client-text story route.
How to finish the Holo-Lab fight
After the cubes are assembled, follow the objective back through the Holo-Lab portal. Current guides describe a three-stage Voxelic encounter with changing elements. Bring more than one useful element and enough recovery rather than building the whole party around a single matchup.
Completing the investigation identifies the consciousness behind the failures and awards the Aimo Core. If the portal or next objective is missing, confirm that you completed the inserted Super Claw Malfunction section and returned to Nova.
Rewards
Version 1.0 quest text records these rewards for the main section:
- 1,000 Safaris
- 50 Glimmer
- 60,000 Credits
- 200 Voxel Coins
The Super Claw Malfunction section separately records 500 Safaris, 10 Aniipod Hypers, 10 Aniipod Tracks and 2 Tumblers. Reward displays can change in patches; use the live quest panel before planning currency totals. Extracted version 1.0 quest record.
Common blockers
- The starting object looks like scenery: inspect the glitching ChillBeanz sign.
- A sliding puzzle has a reference image on the left; match that instead of moving tiles randomly.
- The number path must be stepped on in sequence.
- Some remaining malfunction points appear only after speaking to Nova again.
- The final encounter changes elements, so one narrow damage plan can stall.
